If you have several days, expand your range to Fulufjället and Grövelsjön. Together they turn an Idre visit into an excellent Scandinavian nature photography road trip.

The biggest photography tip is simple: do not spend all your time chasing famous viewpoints. Give yourself time to walk, wait for interesting weather and look closely at the landscape. Färnebofjärden is a large and partly wild national park.

Trail conditions can change.

The current information from Länsstyrelsen warns that storm damage from Storm Johannes has left significant amounts of fallen forest in parts of the park. Some areas have been cleared, including trails around Gysinge, Tyttbo and Skekarsbo, while other areas may still be difficult or unsafe to access.
